Or how I ended up with a house full of glitter
I moved to Germany back in 2023 and now living with my husband and our dog, Ollie (who is arguably the real boss of the house). By day, I navigate the world of marketing, but the second the weekend hits? My inner artist takes total control.
I have a deep, unstoppable love for shiny trinkets and pretty things—especially when they are handmade. But I have a confession to make:
I am a "Two-Day Crafter."
Whenever I see a stunning DIY on Pinterest, I immediately buy €100 worth of specialized tools and materials. I spend exactly 48 hours in a manic state of hyper-focused bliss, making the thing. Then, I pack up the remaining 90% of the supplies, look my husband in the eye, and say, "I'm saving these in case I make it again." (Spoiler alert: I never do).
After realizing my apartment was slowly being swallowed by boxes of leftover clay, yarn, and wire, a lightbulb went off.
I didn't want a lifelong commitment to just one hobby. I wanted a casual, fun, low-pressure weekend romance with creativity. And I figured I couldn’t be the only one who wanted to make beautiful things without having to open a mini craft store in their living room.
That’s how The Craft Fling was born.
I do the stressful part—the research, the endless supply runs, and the cleanup. You get the best part: showing up at a cozy venue, listening to great music, sipping a drink, and spending two hours playing with premium materials. No strings attached, no experience required, and zero guilt about leftover supplies.
We promise not to be clingy. Sign up for occasional love letters and get 10% off your next workshop. You're welcome 😉
